Current Grants - 2009


*      Maui County Office on Aging - $88,000
       
Provides funding for friendly visits, telephone reassurance
          and respite for family caregivers.

*      Laulima Grant – County of Maui - $10,000
       
The Laulima (“Share The Work”) grant is earmarked to
          supplement the salary of our Volunteer Coordinator to
          provide additional hours for recruiting, training and 
          matching volunteer caregivers.

*      Volunteer Recognition –
County of Maui - $5,000
          This grant provides funds for Na Hoaloha Volunteer
           Recognition Event and for the purchase of photo I.D.
           badges for all the volunteers.

*      Hawaii Community Foundation - $150,000
          This 3-year P.I.N. (People-In-Need / Elders) grant covers
          respite care, adult day care scholarships, in-home care,
          medication and transportation services for frail elders.

*      Beverly Foundation - $5,000
          This grant helps to support the Aloha Cruisers
          assisted transportation pilot project

*      Walmart Foundation - $1,000
          This grant provides general support for our eldercare
           programs.
